DiEgita is a Livejam Band from Austria/Ireland
Some names come in particularly miraculous ways and they determine the course of someone's work.
How DiEgita came to be is one of those unusual events. My son's name is Diego after the football star Maradona. For my 40th birthday as a surprise fromm y friend I got I guitat who he was making for 8 months and the name of this guitar was - Maradona,. That’s the guitar with which I compose music.
When my son was 2 years old, he often said to me: "Di egita" which means: "Diego
wants to play the guitar”. So, that’s why Di Egita is not just a name, but an expression of what I live and feel.
Everything I do is recorded live.
While living in Ireland I had many sessions where the guitar was tuned differently than usual and I have been "stuck" with this sound ever since.
With some Effect Pedals, sometimes with Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, oilcan Guitar, Ukulele, Vocals ... etc on the Spot, no backing Track. I take those "raw" and individual Tracks, that i record on my Pedalboard, edit, create Midi File, add other instruments and Sounds and Mix and Master them.
I let what exists as a sound inside me "flow". I just want to play.
It is the gift of the Universe that I want to spring from me in its purest form.
My home is a VW bus, I live on the road, I travel and I play everywhere in nature.
Beaches, rivers, sea or ocean shores, deep rocky gorges, green fields, melancholy bays, hilltops, forests, mountains, next to springs…
That is my goal.
Mood is also a key word when it comes to choosing songs. If you "step" on my website you can choose any word that means feeling and you will find a list of songs that express it.
It is enough to play one day and then I have music for an album. All the melodies played once a week "land" in albums, which the listeners can listen to a few days later. Along with the melodies, I also create videos on a daily basis. But the two things that keep my authenticity are: YouTube live performances in beautiful natural locations and multiple albums.
This is not a project. This is LIFE!
